how does bokdoos do it

I asked how and she sent me to her facebook page to buy the instructions.  She has a lot of cakes on here posted like this one.  I am not spending $30 for a tutorial.  I have some ideas, as I have done the polka dotted cake and a cake with flowers and butterflies in it.  But this looks like it is all cake.  Any ideas?

I Am Baker does a lot of designs inside her cakes, you could take a look through her blog.

Hmmm ... The cow and strawberries will only look right if viewed from the front (slice through Centre of the cake). I've never done it, but it seems like you could use the same concept as the polkadot cake ... prebake your shape (the cow might have been baked in a cookie cutter) then put it in cake pan with Bayer and bake the cake.

Seems really interesting! If you try it please let us know how it goes icon_smile.gif

TWO OPTIONS.....

If you want an easy answer - pay the $30 !

If you don't think it is worth $30........ start baking, cutting and WASTING cake until you figure it out for yourself

It would be a terrible shame if anyone made a living in the cake business... What offends me about your post is that you specifically asked how this specific person does this and since you are "not spending $30 for a tutorial" expect to get the info for free. Why not post something general? Naming the thread , how does [name of another CC member] do it" is just so incredibly inconsiderate. Now when people google her, your thread showing exactly how to do will will come up. Hope you're happy.

How helpful. Google the person's name as posted n the title of this thread and see what comes up.

I'm not sure anyone who paid $30 for the tutorial is going to want to share the info with you for free!

Its really inconsiderate to dis someone who obviously spent the time to come up with something so cool you want to learn to do it. You didn't even

come on here to say how talented she is for doing something like this. You only came to complain. I get not wanting to spend $30 but that is your choice. She

has every right to charge for a skill or talent that someone else doesn't have. The above picture obviously took some time to figure out. Probably more than 3 hours which is essentially what you are paying for.

Yeah I have an idea. Start experimenting and practicing till you figure it out. I promise you by the time you're done you would have spent way more than $30. You might have gotten better responses if you'd just left the snark out of it.

I have to say, I didn't really think about it til I saw other posters comments, especially howsweet's, I would be pretty upset if I was the decorator you posted about.

Wow ... I didn't even consider it from that perspective. Sorry guys! I just took it as 'this cake lips beat, guys was it made? ' I also didn't realize the person who created the cake is a CC member. I agree with the others, experimenting will cost way more than $30!

i think $30 is cheap. does anyone have the link? i'd like to learn that!

Kwitcherbeechin.

$30 is cheap to learn that technique.

I am sure the Bokdoos has spent an incredible amount of time and product teaching herself (himself?) how to do these fantastic cakes.

Complaining that Bokdoos wants remuneration, and a measly $30 at that, cheapens every effort that Bokdoos has made.

Shame on you.
