Pricing is a touchy subject around here, but the bottom line is that no one can tell you for sure how much to charge. Only you know your costs. You need to figure out materials cost, labor, overhead, and profit. That will tell you how much you need to charge for each cake.
very nicely done. Can't tell u what to charge but your work is very nice and I hope you are getting just compensation. There is a thread where you post what you charged and others post what they would have. Can't remember the title
AThe local cake shops in my area will charge $325-$350 easily for this cake. If someone placed an order from me they will gladly pay $240 for this cake since i a home based with no overhead. i guess It really all depends on your location. I am located in miami

Sorry to stray off topic, but are you saying you don't have to pay any utilities, licensing, advertising or insurance expenses when you make your cakes?
Overhead is not made up entirely of a storefront rental or mortgage.
As for the actual question, figure out how much you are making an hour, after all expenses are paid, divide whatever is left over by the number of hours spent working on the cake. If you are OK with that wage per hour, then you are not undercharging.
I can tell you, I wouldn't be happy with it. Telling you what I charge is useless to you though.

AI want to live in this magical place where houses are free and utilities/insurance/taxes don't have to be paid. And there are cake safes big enough to pole dance in.

Actually no, but im guessing i just turned out lucky. I actually had someone make all my flyers free but all my clients are from word of mouth, I have about 5-7 cakes a week. I've actually made a living off cakes (meaning its my full time job) for over 2 years now , I am in the process now of opening my own shop, thankfully I've been able to save ALL of my own money enough to get a website & shop up & running. (All this with the help of my significant other ofcourse) so for me it has been easier than most which I am grateful for. My cake supplies I actually get extremely cheap, I coupon mostly everything so regardless of pricing It always works out fairly well.
AThen you're going to be in for a shock when you have to start actually paying for stuff and your customers don't understand why you put your prices up so much. Imagine how much more you could have saved if you'd charged an appropriate price from the beginning.

I actually get my prices from bakeries in my area and go about $40-$50 less
