Hi there

Does anyone have any good and fairly accurate sources where i can find a traditional world war 1 chocolate cake recipe?

I need to make either an 8 or 10 inch cake.... and as the theme is blood and chocolate i'm thinking of creating a cherry centre (blood)

so any advice on how to do that so it's like a secret middle would also be welcome

Libbie

AYou could make a lava cake with cherry ganache center. For authentic recipes I would start looking for cookbooks online that were published during those years.

Lava cake is dark chocolate cake with cherry embedded into it. You can see various cake recipes at http://www.bhg.com/recipes/desserts/chocolate/dark-chocolate-dessert-recipes/#page=1

There you will get some good flavor of cakes.

Enjoy ;-D
