I know some people freeze their cake layers for later use - how about cupcakes and if so what's the best way?

cupcakes freeze beautifully.  I just put mine in a single layer in a ziplock bag, making sure to seal the air out.  Then I put them in paper grocery bags to keep out freezer odor.

They only take a few hours to defrost.

AMe too...in a air tight container then when i want to defrost them i take them out and put them on a cooling rack so the cases don't come away from condensation
