Hi gals,

I bought the silicone cake pop baking trays, but I'm having problems making perfect cake pops. If I fill the bottom half of the tray all the way the batter expands while baking but oozes out instead of filling the whole top part of the cake pop tray. If I fill the bottom half 3/4s full the batter still expands out but the resulting pops are certainly not round.

Are the silicone cake pop trays a complete waste? Has anyone here used them successfully? Should I just get the metal ones instead? Thanks in advance for your help :)

Here's a pic of the cake pop trays that I have:

Never saw those around here. I am thinking that the silicone will flatten on the bottom...or does it not happen like that? Most of my friends in your part of the world have the metal ones. But even those will give you trouble until you learn how to use it properly.

I bought the Babycakes machines, so not much help here. I haven't even used it yet! It's been two years, I think.
