AI mixed up some gum tex to my pre made mmf to make some orchids. (Approx 1/4 tsp to 3oz) After letting them sit and dry for approx 24 hours the leaves fell off the wire and when touching them they crumbled. What did I do wrong?

I don,t know what you did wrong, but please just use the premade wilton g/p. It rolls out so easy and you can thin the edges so good, etc. Nick Lodge has a great recipe too. These two are my favorite g/p.hth

I used to use the wilton gumpaste but found that the humidity really effects it. The flowers go limp and lose shape. Nicholas lodge's recipe is the best for me. I think with your gumpaste it could be that it went too dry after you added the gum tex, I could be wrong.
