I am doing an cake with Swiss Meringue Buttercream and gumpaste rose petals, should I add piping gel or gum glue to the back of the petals before placing them on the cake?

ANo, as long as they're not very heavy, just gently press them on to the cake.

AThanks! Would you suggest adding the petals at the venue once the icing has warmed up or would it be OK to add them before refrigerating?

I add my decor to SMBC when it's firm and cold otherwise you run the risk of it sinking right in.

AI try to avoid doing anything on site, but that's up to you. I don't know how thick the petals are, or what the design is, so hard for me to say.
