I feel so sorry for the bride. I ran across this and she posted it more as a statement obviously not to really try and resell..

I can't say I thought her original design was all that great, not my style but the one she ended up with is pitiful...
AThis is dreadful but I have to admit I laughed. I'm a novice at cake decorating so I can't say I'd do a perfect job. But I would never attempt to sell this.
OMG!!! How mortifiying as a bride to get THAT cake on your wedding day?? It reminds me of death. I didn't even know it was supposed to be tires until I looked at the original design picture. I feel so sorry for her. I truly hope she got all of her money back!!!
Did you read the small print?
Condition: Used : Seller Notes:
“A few defects due to maker being unskilled. Uncut, along with large amount of awful cupcakes for free. No topper or decoration. Unusual design. Very heavy.”
But the bits I really loved:
Am sorry for that person but even if that cake was done right the design awful it look's like flat tires!!!!
Wow, what an awful surprise for the bridal couple! They may laugh about it in the future, but for now, I sure hope they get a full refund. Absolutely hideous cake!
Tires for a wedding cake was weird enough but who would leave that awful grey mess for a bride on her wedding day!
Ha, I was just wondering about that on the other thread where it appeared (things not to ask/tell your baker thread)!
I was just going to post the same thing and yes the maker is on that thread.. maybe she should post her side of the story as she sounded very indignant against the bride
AHow do you know the baker is on that thread? When did she sound indignat? Did they interview her for the story??
If any bride showed me a picture of a cake that looked like a stack of tires and said "can you recreate this?" I would say "Yes I could recreate that ... but I won't!" Awful cake - both of them.

Sparklekat6 is NOT the baker, she was saying that "i've put your cake on ebay" was an example of something not to say to a baker. It was tongue in cheek. She even posted the link to the yahoo news article. One look at her cakes and you can see that she wouldn't present something like that.
Got to love the internet...this even made the news in New Zealand!! http://www.stuff.co.nz/life-style/weddings/9046493/The-ultimate-wedding-cake-disaster

Ha ha ha that is so funny I email the picture to a friend and she laugh so much when she call me and ask who in the world would post it for sale on Ebay
