Cutting guide for 6" wedding tier

I'm looking for a cutting guide that I can print and give with a wedding cake for cutting the 6-inch tier into rectangular pieces, not wedges.  I understand that it can be cut into 2" strips and then 1" pieces to get  12 servings, but I'd like to find a graphic to help illustrate it for the bride.  I don't have the skills to produce one myself to scale, and I'm too lazy to try.  icon_smile.gif

Hi, you are correct about how to cut it. I go in with knife 2" and then over 1" and most of the time the cakes are 4" high. Ok, google indydebi's blog(she is a member here) She has a wedding cake cutting guide(i think) You could p/m her and she would help you also. She has been nice and helped me several times. I remember printing the guide sometime back. I would have to look for it. I will try to help you more if you need me. hth

Thanks for your reply.  I've am familiar with Indydeb's cutting guide and I'm a believer.  I just can't find any of her posts that point to an actual cutting diagram.  I'll keep looking.

It's the one I go by, I hate the idea of trying to cut the bigger sizes into smaller circles
