APlease help, I have someone picking up a cake at 4pm, and I just noticed that the fondant is really sticky. It's a brand I've used before and there's smbc underneath. The cake was room temp when I covered it in fondant and I didn't refrigerate. Any suggestions?? I'm pretty sure it will hold up but I'm not 100%. TIA!!

Crank you AC down and put a fan on it to help it evaporate. Is it humid right now? That can play a big part in stickiness.

AIt's not humid here, and our AC is at 68. I'll definitely use a fan. Do you think the AC should be even lower??

If it's at 68, it shouldn't be sticky. Now I'm wondering about the smbc underneath. Try the fan and see if it helps. The only other thing I can think of to try at this point would be the fridge..last resort I would say. What kind of fondant did you use?

AThe fondant is from goldas kitchen, never had this problem before, but I checked and the fondant on the cake board is sticky too

I would worry about the fan blowing dust into my sticky fondant! Good luck hun.
