I am making a cake & cupcakes this Saturday for a party on Sunday evening.  I will need to pipe whipped cream icing.  I was able to find a recipe on this site for a whipped cream icing using gelatin.  Am I safe to decorate the cake on Saturday & let it stand in the refrigerator until Sunday evening?  Will the piping hold up well?  Also, doesn't the heat from your hands melt the whipped cream while piping?  I know buttercream even does this sometimes & it is much more durable than whipped cream.  Any experience or suggestions would be appreciated!  Thank you!!! icon_smile.gif

Yes, it will be fine in the refrigerator. Yes, your hands will heat it. Honestly, whipped is kind of the bane of my existence. It doesn't hold its shape as well. I have tried several recipes and they never turn out well so make sure you try yours out ahead of time.
