Want to learn modeling chocolate.do you make your own or where do you buy it?

I don't have a recipe to hand but there are lots on Google. It's quite straightforward to make but can be quite expensive if you need a lot.  You can also buy it in foil packs from most cake decorating stores, which might be handier if you only need a little to make a few models.

PS forgot to mention, it's also known as cocoform/chocolate plastique and chocolate clay apparently! (the last two don't sound too appealing)

Dark Chocolate clay, and Milk Chocolate clay made from 'real chocolate'  have been quick and easy for me to make at home.  Shipping to Alaska is  $10 or $15 a pound so I just use Hershey Bars from the grocery store.

White Chocolate clay has been a failure, no matter what brand of chocolate I use.   I'd order that if needed. There are many shops online that offer modeling chocolate.  Good Luck and Happy Baking.

Of course we all have our limits, but how can you possibly find your boundaries unless you explore as far and as wide as you possibly can? I would rather fail in an attempt at something new and uncharted than safely succeed in a repeat of something
