Hi all!
I just found a couple of Wilton cake pans in my collection and couldn't remember if they were 8" or 9" pans, so I measured the inside diameter. It measures 8 1/2" - huh??
AAre the sides of the pans straight, or are they angled a bit so they can stack one inside of the other?
AThey are straight, they're the Wilton pans, 2 inches deep I believe. I measured the bottom, inside. It's 8.5"
ANow that I got home and looked at them again, they're not 100% straight inside, there may be a very slight angle, but so slight it's barely noticeable.
AHere are 2 pictures. I think these are the Wilton performance pans. Anyway, you can see that the inside diameter is 8 1/2" instead of 8 or 9. What do you think?

AThis is the pan alone. They do stack inside each other.

That doesn't actually look like a Wilton pan to me...is it labeled Wilton on the bottom? Maybe it's just an off brand that has weird sizes.
AOk I googled the code on the bottom and the wilton site says it's the 9inch pan. But it's 8.5"!!
AI have a few old Wilton pans that have angled edges. I hate them. (Why do I still have them?!) The ones you have are supposedly 9" pans. The ones I have say 10" right on them, but they measure 9 1/2" across the bottom.
