Trying to like other companies and its NOT WORKING.

So I only have a business account and I tried following the FB instructions about 10 times and its not working.

Please someone help me. There is no search bar like in personal FB just fyi.

I know how to use FB I used to have an account, but I don't now and I think its what is making this more difficult. The instructions don't say you have to have a personal account, however I think I'm going to have to as the instructions aren't working.

Instructions were as follows

go to home page

hit edit page tab and turn on  use facebook as "your company"

find company and like

Well there is no search bar so even when I open a separate tab and find a company and try to like them it doesn't work. Which makes me think you have to have both personal and business.

Is the problem that your Like does not register as another fan? For a Like to count, it must be done from a personal page. (So if, for example, people Like your business page but do it from their own business page, your fan count does not increase.)

Hope I answered your question!

Thank Mimi my fan count is increasing but I want to show case other businesses on my FB page. It says I as a business can't like people but I can like businesses. Which I have seen on other pages. So I'm trying to like say a wedding venue and its not working.

Just hate all the crap people post on there..lol...some people use it as a tool of "how better am I than thou" or the "update of everything every second"

I also think media is really cramping people skills. I'd say majority of people use it to post their own stuff not actually to comment on others. Just my own opinion. Usually older people use it to communicate and younger than me (31) use it as a wide open diary.

Plus I really don't like that FB tracks you. However its seems all websites do that now. Sigh...That was the original reason I cancelled my account.

AFB is only as good as your FB friends. If you don't like what someone is posting, unfriend them (or hide their posts from your feed).

FB also does not track you any more than any other site. If you are concerned about anonymity I recommend using the Tor browser: https://www.torproject.org/

Ya I think I'm just gonna have to bite the bullet and do it again. I was already very particular in friends just some friends are different on media websites. lol..and when you see them a lot you can't unfriend them.

Kinda like some people make great friends but horrible employees to work with.

Anyhow I'll try that browser we have tried a few and they slow our computer down or won't open pictures.

I haven't been on in over a year so I'm sure things have changed.

It was only like one or two of the 200 but you know they are the ones that fill the feed every day! lol

Ok so I opened the personal facebook page only to find out I should have done it from my business page. Too late..

Then I go to read the directions to join them.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME???

16 steps to connect them...what a joke. This calls for a Dr.Pepper.

Please be for-warned do NOT do what I did.

AThat procedure actually doesn't look too bad, it shouldn't take you more than 5-10 minutes.
