Help please! I made homemade marshmallow fondant and colored it the hot pink color I wanted. I tried to color some gum paste the same color using the same color I used on the fondant and it came out more of a melon color..... how can I get the orangey color out of it or am I out of luck?

I've never been able to get my fondant and gumpaste to come out the exact same color. So what I do is mix half fondant half gumpaste and then it ends up the same color. Takes a little bit longer to dry then just straight gumpaste, but at least the colors matched
