11X15 (Halfed And Stacked) Or Double Layer 9X13 For A Shoebox Cake?

This may sound silly but I have never made a shoe box cake and I have one coming up. I need it to serve 30 for a birthday party. Should I make a double layer 9x13 or a single 11x15, cut it in half and layer it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)
A double layer of 9 x 13 would be a good shoebox size and shape and it would definitely serve 30.
Hi Faith bakes cakes, what a lovely cake! did you make 2-9x13s? and how many servings was your shoebox cake?
AThank you!
Oh dear! I just looked at my pans! I think may have used a 7x11 (from my Pyrex lasagna set. According to the Wilton serving chart 7x11 is 32 servings, while 9x13 is 50 - approx. I hope I haven't caused any confusion. Sorry!
