#1. Dinky 4" cakes. It took me as long to smooth the bc on a 4" smash cake as it did to ganache a 6" and 8" rounds. You can either think I'm really fast at ganache or imagine how long it really took me on that stinkin 4". I want to throw that thing against a wall...but then I would have to do another one..

I see your 4" and lower to 2". I only did mini cakes once, I am NEVER doing them again. The smallest cake I make nowadays is a 6"!

Mini cakes.  Hate them.  Really hate that people think they should be less expensive too!

Anything that requires more than 3 shades of fondant. Did one cake like that and will require lots more money the next time. My hands are killing me needing all that crap.

I also always prefer where I get to do what I want. My spoiled side..haha

Oh my goodness, 2" cakes!!! I don't think I'll ever attempt those! I hate doing cake pops too. I don't offer them to clients for that reason.

AI have been asked to make two dozen 2" square mini cakes covered in different dark colours with gold scrollwork for this Christmas. She just gave me a heads-up that this is what she would want but we haven't finalized the order yet. I am hoping that when I tell her what it will cost she will change her mind! (They would be beautiful, but they might make me insane!)

Mini rounds I don't mind, mini squares however... evil little things! Those tiny rotten corners, even thinking abut them makes me cranky, lol.

I just crumbled my leftovers from a cake I carved today, mixed in the frosting....is it coating them that everyone hates? Have not got that far yet. I am tired of throwing away tons of cake from carving. I plan to just coat with candy melts and sprinkles. It doesn't SOUND hard....lol

I hate dipping them. Dip, turn, tap dry. Dip, turn, tap dry...repeat 100 times. Bleh. I don't like repetitive things. And right now, I don't like fondant...or humidity..or trying to cover a cake with fondant that's too stinkin soft and keeps tearing. The same fondant that covered another cake fine this morning is now too soft. WTH. Grrr.

I hate everything about them...that they're mushed up cake mixed with frosting, the rolling, the dipping, ugh. What's to love? Of course, it doesn't help that I stink at making them icon_wink.gif.

ARolling. Dipping. Sticking. I've started saving scraps and slathering them with extra icing. Family or whoever else wants them gets them. It's become a thing now lol they all fight over it

AI agree with all the previous posts and would like to add adding dragees to things. I feel so clumsy with such fat fingers the moment I touch a dragee! I have jury-rigged several implements to make it go smoother, but it just isn't happening with my fingers. I swear I sweep half the container off the floor when I am done.

How the heck do you keep from pushing the 4" over when you ice them? or when smoothing? I have tried non skid liner under them, and even resorted to skewering them to a large dummy, it still sucks! I have to say they look great 5 hours later...

I use a piece of acetate when smoothing , it works for me.

Hate cake pops! Love to do mini rounds- I just hold 4" in my hand to ice, then on turntable to smooth.

I really need to try these cake pops! Like I stated in another post, I've never ate one, nor tried to make one.  I was thinking of trying to make them, but I'm not sure after all these posts...lol!  I think I'll just stick to not knowing anything about them... P.S. I hate doing cupcakes!!! My husband thinks they should be so much easier than a cake....not in my book.  And I think the thing I hate the most about cupcakes is when people just want a big swirl of icing on it.  I know that's simple to do, but I just cringe at the thought of doing that.
