I have been asked to replicate this cake by the grampa-to-be (first grandchild!!).  He is SO excited so I want to get it as close to this as possible while adding a few of my own touches.

This was submitted as a contest cake back in 2009 by a CC user abruntz in CO, but it doesn't look like she's an active user.  I have sent her a message but don't know if I will hear from her.  But maybe with a little help from my CC friends, we can figure it out!  Thanks for any help!

Oh...just wanted to know what molds these are.

They look very similar to Culpitt patchwork cutters. The dragonflies look like butterflies cut in half.

I think PATCHWORK CUTTERS has butterflies and dragonflies like these. You can go to http://globarsugarart.com and type in butterflies and dragonflies and see what they come up with

I like the Patchwork cutters but Wilton does have a mold - You can probably get it at any Michael's or Hobby Lobby.  Just not sure if it's the look you want.

Thanks, all!

I do like those patchwork ones!

And JWinslow, I see that you are in Erie, PA...my hubs and I went to Gannon U!  Seems like many moons ago but we graduated in 1996/97.

Just moved here a couple of years ago.   My next door neighbor is a Professor of Economics there.  Medina is  pretty town.  Reminds me of Beaver, PA   Small world.

The ones pictured are patchwork cutters by Marion Frost. They are butterflies, ladybirds and bees.
