Is it just me, or is it seriously time to bring back the cake competitions?  I thought the cupcake shows would be short-lived and cake competitions would come back pretty quickly but that doesn't seem to be the case (sigh).  Miss them!

I agree.. while I would never spend that kind of time creating cakes like that I loved watching the shows and seeing what is possible.

I thought it was because I changed tv providers and I can't find any of the channels anymore...so I haven't missed anything?
 

Glad to see this thread . I thought I was the only one. I need my fix. When is the next season of Next Great Baker or shows like that?

When / if they bring back any shows, they should include a caption that explains the amount of time that was spent to create the cake, and the price :)
