It is all 50/50 fondant and gum paste.

 

 

 

I think i like her better with only one flower in her hair.

Yes, one flower in her hair.  That looks like a lot of work; how long did it take you?

Thanks! Ive been working on it off and on for 3 days. probably around 4 hours all together.

Thanks! 1 flower it is!!! icon_biggrin.gif Just got one wing done and am VERY excited to see the finished product. this is the first time ive actually sculpted a face and not just a characture. Thanks again!!

She's gorgeous! I'm making figurines today (1st time) and was going to use 100% gum paste. You mentioned you used 50/50 GP/F - is there an advantage to using 50% fondant?

straight gumpaste hardens to quickly for me.im not quick at doing figures so the fondant keeps it softer longer but it will still harden over night. thats what i was told and thats what works for me.

Your welcome! and good luck! just remember it takes practice. i threw away 6 heads before i got eyes that i liked!!
