How Do I Make A Fondant Flower?

I have been asked to recreate this flower (small version on cupcakes, and a larger version on top of a 6' fondant cake.) I'm at a loss...I don't even know what kind of flower this is. I usually don't build flowers from hand, I use a cutter. Please help!!
