Need Help With 3 Stacked Books For Graduation
Decorating By elisnan Updated 3 May 2013 , 7:21pm by elisnan
Customer is wanting 3 stacked books to feed approx 30 people. I will be using box cake mix and buttercream. No fondant. What size pans should I use? I was thinking about using an 8" x 8" pan and trimming to 6" x 8" for each book. Any suggestions?
While the tops of my cakes are shamelessly (even proudly) domed, this is definitely a case where I'd level them. And square up the sides, to eliminate the draft angle. If they're supposed to be hardcovers, I wonder if some sort of long, narrow grater might be a good implement for producing a curved spine.
Hi, i have got to do the same thing in a few weeks for my grandson. But i will be using fondant. I have studied sharon zambito dvd for about a yr. lol!!! anyway this link might help you also .
