Hello everyone !
I've got what I hope is a great question !
I'm looking for a good quality turn table for cakes, and see 2 models I'm interested in.
The Ateco 612 - an older style cake turntable with a very heavy base,
but it seems it needs to be oiled very often, is prone to wobbling.
Then there is the newer Ateco 613, which is more modern looking, looks like the base is
a little lighter than the 612 model, and also has stainless steel bearings.
At this point I don't want to order a turntable without asking here first.... it would be a hassle to find out I ordered the wrong one.
I do want a sturdy turntable, but I've seen some posts about the model 612 being wobbly, and that you must oil often.
The 613 seems to have a better system, using ball bearings ( nowhere on any website do I see anything about ball bearings being used on the 612 model )
So, at this point, I'm asking, and hoping somebody can give me some helpful info !
Thanks for listening !
I look forward to any help !
