Help! What To Do With This Client...
Business By carmenscake_helsinki Updated 12 Apr 2013 , 6:28am by carmenscake_helsinki
Hi all!
I have a client who ordered 2 cakes. One was for today, for her last working day(she is pregnant) and it was a simple strawberry cake with pipping cream and the other one is for this saturday, a baby shower cake.
I meet her last friday to discuss what she wanted. She really wanted to meet, because she was very much scared that I wouldn't get what she wanted for a cake.... her friend had a previous bad experience with a baker that didn't do what she wanted. It just made me think if this was the baker mistake or her friend who didn't explain herself well. We know many clients do this. They say they want one thing and after they say, no, no it wasn't like that...arhhhhhg!
Anyway, the thing is, she wrote me an email 30 min. ago saying this prhase:
"The Strawberry cake was very good! I felt the icing to be a little extra sweet, but others liked it, so I am happy.
AOn, ok you do have to address the other comment.
"I'm so glad you liked it! I'm sorry to hear that you felt the frosting was sweeter than you prefer. Most of my clients prefer my frosting to some of the sweeter versions. I truly hope you will enjoy the pairing of x flavor with y filling and my buttercream.

remnant3333,
That's exactly what I wonder, if she will able to swallow the fondant... What I got from our meeting, looked like she never tried it. She was already a pain....when we met, so I was really thinking if she didn't like the sweetness of this cake, she will hate the other cake and she will problaly complain about it as well!
I will answer her now, let's see what she answers back.
Already thanking you all for the tips
