How Much Fondant Do I Need For A 2 Tier Cake (8" And 4") ?

First let me say I am new to this site, so this is my first post! Everything I've been googling leads me to this site and I've found some amazing advice so far from here, so I thought, why not just join so I can interact too?
I am making my first fondant cake, and it's kind of a trial run before I make a cake for my nephew's 16th birthday on the 16th. I decided to make it two tier, each tier has two layers. The bottom will be 8" and the top 4". I made MMF and the recipe that uses 16oz marshmallows and 2lb conf. sugar, I believe it said it makes about 3lbs ? So will that be enough to cover both parts of my cake, as well as make a few little cutout stars and swirls, etc ?
I was thinking if it's not enough, I could probably make another half of a batch just to be safe... just want to hear from other experienced fondant users :)
AThe wilton chart says 42 oz for a 6/8", and I find they slightly overestimate, so for a 4/8, you should be good. http://www.wilton.com/decorating/fondant/fondant-amounts-to-cover-cakes.cfm
I believe thats enough... I use a recipe for fondant that used 16oz marshmellows and 2lbs PS as well, and for me that will cover a two-tier 9" and 6" cake, plus enough left over for decorations...
I'd say that would be enough to cover them sizes plus a bit left over! I hate this bit tho myself, trying to work out if i have enough fondant lol luckily I buy mine but I'd love to make some MMF one day to try! :)
Thanks for the answers so far! I will definitely share a pic of my first fondant cake when it's complete
