One of the cakes I will be doing shortly is a Home Depot Cake.  I found this one of this forum:

http://cakecentral.com/g/i/1292680/a/1293680/for-home-depots-christmas-party-bottom-layer-is-18x24-choc-top-layer-is-12x18-white-i-printed-the-logo-from-the-net-used-an-exacto-knife-to-cut-out-the-letters-then-laid-the-template-on-the-cake-filling-it-in-with-white-icing/

Looked pretty easy.  I am very interested in the melvira method of smoothing buttercream.  Can anyone direct me to an instructional video or webpage on this method?  I am interested in making the template just as the above cake-maker did, and rolling on the white buttercream.

As well, any other thoughts/ideas on a Home Depot cake are greatly appreciated!

Oh!  Just a thought...maybe chocolate molds of various tools to decorate the cake.  Wonder where I could get those...
