I am creating a boxing ring cake for a grand opening of a woman's boxing gym. She would like to have her logo on the center of the cake. I was going to create the ring out of fondant then place the logo on the fondant. How would I go about creating a nice clean finish. I have a few ideas, but I would like to see if there is an easy way to go about this.

Thanks!

I think it depends on the intricacy of the logo.  You can always have one printed with edible ink on edible paper and apply that to a fondant or gum paste backing.  You can print a template and hand cut the pieces out of gum paste or fondant.  If it's a multi-color logo with a lot of detail then I'd go with the printing.  Our cake supply store here sells printed images if you send them the logo so you'd have to find out where you could make that happen in your area.
