I don't have access or time to order gems for a bling cake. Is there any other way to make them?
buy a mold and pour hot sugar in there
i did not watch this whole thing --but this is the general idea
isomalt products are gastro intestinally challenging--if you're doing a lot of bling you wanna remove them
they are edible but in moderation by healthy peeps
but you can do straight up poured sugar too--another recipe search for you
substantial learning curve, my friend ;)
Regular sugar melted will work, but only if you can work with color- it will be yellow. If you need it to be clear then you have to use Isomalt. If you don't have access to a mold, you can make an assortments of "beads" by piping the Isomalt onto wax paper, the drawback is that they will all be circles. If you want shape to your gems you have to use a mold.
cake deco stores have gem molds--often even hobby lobby type stores have them--if doing the sugar you want the certain kind that are good with high temp--it will say on ithe package--or if you do chocolates you can get either kind
using molds to pour gem-y chocolates would be better/easier/less stresssful at this late date
then you could brush on some lustery pearl-y stuff
are pearls blingy enough?? you could pipe those as reasontobake says
you could make 'chains' out of fondant just like you'd make chains for a christmas decoration--only finer and smaller then paint them gold and silver to make jewerly???
maybe
i wonder if you have any mesh jewelry or any jewelry that could transate into fondant--to use as a 'mold'
then you could again go with the gold & silver dusts

Try this--it looks pretty easy to follow --im sure you can find something at a local store to mold the jewels into
Good Luck!
you could get real bling like at a local fabric store or a hobby lobby type store and remove it before serving the cake
kind of a bother but one more idea
i'd recommend using larger pieces rather than smaller and keep count of them
tons of it available
best of the best to you!!!
