AHi, just wondering if anyone has any tips on how to recover cracked fondant once it has been laid onto the cake? TIA

If it's just been put on the cake and you are still smoothing the cake, you should be able to remove a good bit of the cracking by rubbing gently with your fingertips then going over with a smoother.

If the fondant has been allowed to harden there's not a lot that you can do that's not noticeable other than fill in with a bit of soft royal icing in the same colour as the fondant and smooth it over with damp fingertips.

If you mean hairline cracks, I saw somewhere that you could melt some fondant of the same colour with a bit of water until it is gooey and carefully apply them into the cracks. I've tried that and it worked for me.
