I really enjoy these mystery books. Not only do you get to read about a sleuth who owns a bakery but you get recipes too. icon_smile.gif The first book in the series is called The Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder by Joanne Fluke.

From the Book Jacket :
Hannah already has her hands full trying to dodge her mother's attempts to marry her off, while running The Cookie Jar, Lake Eden's most popular bakery. But once Ron LaSalle, the beloved delivery man from the Cozy Cow Dairy, is found murdered behind her bakery with Hannah's famous Chocolate Chip Crunches scattered around him, her life just can't get any worse. Determined not to let her cookies get a bad reputation, she sets out to track down a killer. But if she doesn't watch her back, Hannah's sweet life may get burned to a crisp.

Contains 7 delicious cookie recipes for you to try.

Wow, this sounds like a fun read. I love to read and read a variety of stuff but sometimes I want soemthing "lite". Are these like that?

cybourg these are pretty lite reads not much gore at all just some fun reading. I read just about anything; sci-fi, mystery, romance, etc. I love reading about characters that own a bakery or are involved with food in some way. Squirrelly if something happens to your husband we'll know who did it. hehe Especially if there's a boomerang shaped cookie near his body. icon_wink.gif

Hhmn, do you think a decorated cookie laced with arsenicon a sharpened craft stick stuck in the heart, would be a bit too obvious? Nah, I wouldn't do that, he is a good guy although sometimes I do want to toss my cookies at him, haha!
