How much to charge for this cake

This is a retirement cake made for a coworker it is a 2- 10 inch choclate cake with raspberry and salted caramel filling covered in homemade MMF all the details and accents on the cake was made from fondant.i was asked several times how much do i charge for such cakes as im just starting out i didnt have a clue on wht to tell them. How much does such a cake run with in the north dallas,tx area i guess i just want to be prepared im asked this next time around. Thanks for all your help posting 2 pics of the cake.

I'm in The Woodlands. 3 hrs. south of Dallas. I'd charge about $150.00 for "basic" flavors. $30.00-40.00 more for the flavors you described.

How much did you spend on ingredients? How long did it take you to make? How much do you spend on overhead costs on a per-order basis?

I would charge 105.00.

Don't have pricing for you but I would also say that does not look like a 10" double.  Mine are much taller.  Looks like a 10" single--(probably split & filled) to me.

That's my thought too. OP do you mean you baked in a single cake pan, and split it in two and filled it?

you should charge a lot srsly--top dollar

 

that is an incredible cake--so well done!!

 

are all the accoutrement's edible??? plus those haute flavors!!!

 

wow you outdid yourself!!! just wonderful work!!!

 

i would suggest poking around brownwen webers bakery, frosted art--she's there somewhere in dallas and get as close to her pricing as your skill level and the traffic will bear

 

plus even being on her website gives you a smile--she is so effervescent

 

anyhow--keep up the good work!

I did use two 10 inch cakes but I guess when I had leveled it I might taken off more than I should have! Still learning here so I guess I have some skill sharpening to do.I love working with fondant basicallt self taught.The project took a coiple of weeks.K8Memphis thanks for your encouragement yes all the elements of the cake arr edible except for the borad its on tht was used as a prop only.Thanks again for all your help.

Great job!!! I would have charged around $160.00 - Around $120 base price and another $40 for hammer, saw blade, etc.
