Not leaves? Maybe jewels?

By rosette do you mean the large "roses" piped covering the cake?

I was thinking jewelry, like vintage brooches or something? Or fantasy flowers; just a few really dramatic ones?

I LOVE the vintage brooches idea...but I don't think she'd go for it.....maybe a couple of really large jade color cabbage roses or peonies???

you can use any small to medium molds (like jewelry ones) and place jade colored stones in the center of the rosettes, or you can try something that sticks out of the cake like leaves

AWhat do you guys think of doing something like this with jade colored stones or crystals?

I have a cake like this to do for May.  A 4 tier with 2 rosette tiers and 2 plain tiers.  The bride decided that the cake itself was a statement and needed nothing additional.  I agreed.  She is going to incorporate her wedding colors with tablecloth or tulle.  The rosettes themselves are very "busy".

Why not just do random piped rosettes in the jade colored buttercream icing??  I mean, it would look just like the picture, but have like every three or four roses in the jade color??  Otherwise use the round tier seperators  covered in Jade ribbon...  Kinda hard to add accent pieces on top of all those roses...

A
What do you guys think of doing something like this with jade colored stones or crystals?
I was going to suggest cake jewelry. Since the rosettes are so busy and textured, I think the accents have to be off the cake. How about a cake plate with jade crystals hanging off chandelier-style and a few jewel accents on wires on top?

http://www.flickr.com/photos/elegantcakesaz/6873827578/  I hope this link works...but it shows an all rosette cake with little pink pearl accents placed in the center of each rosette.  Very cute...not too much!

AHow about a row of smaller jade rosettes (tip 14 or 16 or so) as a bottom border for each tier?

this might be over-kill on the jade, but how about this...

forgive the rudimentary drawing...used "MS Paint" to create

Ducky -- I like your dangling jewels topper idea. I suggest you turn your attention to the cake board. Perhaps two drums, the top one covered with white fondant, and the larger base drum covered in the green.

I also like the random jade rosette idea. It could even just be one single one on the entire cake.
