I am helping out with a fundraiser for a local private school in April and will be making 70 dozen cupcakes (yes, that's 840 cupcakes!). Their theme for the event this year is "The Golden Years of Hollywood". Any ideas on designs or flavors? It has to be a simple design, since I'll be making so many cupcakes, so I was looking for ideas such as cupcake liner colors, sprinkles or garnish ideas, etc. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Angie

Black liners, vanilla buttercream, gold star cupcake toppers (like the gold stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame).  Easy and elegant.  I chaired the annual auction fundraiser for my children's private school quite a few years ago so I can certainly relate to what you are doing!

Black and white cupcakes would be cute, black liner, white frosting, with maybe a film strip topper?

You can do the toppers way ahead of time, just pick ones that are easy to mass produce, like the cut out stars idea, or film strips.

Gold foil liners would suit the theme as well.
