AHello .. I'm very new at baking/designing and was wondering if I mixed white merckens chocolate wafers with a colour will I get a lighter colour? For example I have green but want a lighter green - will adding some white help? Thanks
as long as they are the same basic product, it will be fine, but always add dark to light. if you start with the green you'll need a lot more white than if you start with white and slowly add green.
Yes the Merckens candy coatings are promoted as being mixable, Merckens even has a mixing table on their website.
I don't think so that with the help of the wafers you can make it a light color. You will need some another product.

Sorry Changwalz, they can be mixed. I do it all the time. Not only do I lighten colors but I also mix colors to make a totally different color. Blue+pink=purple, yellow+blue=green, red+yellow=orange and so on...
AMaybe you can help me out? I purchased yellow merken melts to make pokemon cake pops - but the yellow seems too light.. What colour should I mix with it to make it more of a vibrant yellow?
Thanks so much!
I've done that with Merkins... Try white and add a few daeker coloured coins at time or lighter colour and melt a few darker at a time.
SonyaE There is no other color you could add to make the yellow more vibrant. You have to add lots of yellow candy coloring. Make sure it says it's for candy use! any gel or water color will ruin the chocolate.
