I'm making a devils food cake that has to be covered in fondant for my class tonight, I was going to fill it with chocolate buttercream but my husband doesn't like the butteriness of SMBC (we're European!). He also doesn't really like the non-sugariness of ganache. I thought about doing a milk chocolate ganache, but what would I fill the cake with? I don't want to keep the cake in the fridge since it will have the fondant on it.
Also, we can't do instant puddings etc.
