I have a vendor friend of mine getting married. We network together and he has brought me some business and vice versa. He would like to get his wedding cake from me but I am unsure how to go about pricing it. Do you give discounts to other vendors? If yes then how much? Any advice moving forward would be appreciated. Thanks

i would consider it a friend helping me out --being a blessing to my business

especially since you already work together so well--back & forth--that's very nice

i might toss in a free plateau or free delivery or make a special decor element for free

just one or two ^^^ of those as a 'gift'

that's what i would do

but yes this is of course much work and he's trusting you to do your best for him and you need to be paid correctly

imo

I always mark it down a little but I let them know. I did one a couple weeks ago and charged them for the size below the one they got.
