AHi everyone, I'm after some tips on how to make a perfect rose. What are the best techniques to create a realistic rosé? Is it best to use petal cutters? Or are there ways to make a rosé without petal cutters. I have to make roses to go on a engagement cake, I have tried making them before but I was not happy with the outcome. Is it a case of practise makes perfect? Thanks Nina

yes it is --the practice makes perfect thing

but you can use a heart cutter or a round cutter or an oval

but i mean there are plenty of dedicated rose cutters

and i have a veiner for roses- i it -- it's a little silicone hamburger press type thing

but i've made plenty of rose without it too--it's not necessary

try briefly drying some of the petals on the bowl of a spoon before you attach them--helps the outer petals keep their shape

use enough glue to moisten not saturate

make your 'cones' in advance so they are nice & dry if you make your own

i haven't looked but i'd be surprised if you tube did not have a ton of videos on rose making
