How do I build a topsy turvy cake and make it sturdy?

I'm going to build my first topsy turvy square cake with sizes 6,8,10. What's the best way to stack the tiers on top of each other without them sliding off or collapsing? Any advise or suggestions would be appreciated.

this might give you a start, but it's in round tiers

they often are sculpted cakes where each tier can have a different sized top and bottom border circumference
