Have you considered going to Craftsy.com?  There is a class on how to make a beautiful bag. Go through Cake Central if you do.

Wow that bag tutorial is amazing, bit expensive though at £25, I might just try to copy the bits I can and just

practice it, thank you for your help though :)

It's on sale for 19.99.  I don't think it ever goes lower than that so I will probably enroll.

Let me know if you find anything else - I'd be curious.

I have looked through these already but there is nothing that I really found that showed how to make a bag which looks as though it is slouching if you know how I mean - like it has just been put down and it has a bit of movement in it. Thanks for your help though.

For your £19.99 though do you get other tutorials in there or is it just the bag? I found another good bag tutorial on a site by BronnieBakes. That is worth a try :)

AIf you are patient the price may go even lower. I got mine several weeks ago for £9.99. I thought it was great and well worth the money. I picked up lots of general tips applicable to other projects, but the bag is the main focus.

Anah. I actually made something similar and it wasn't too hard. i started by baking sheet cakes then carving the actual purse, crumb coat and then the fondant. I hand-painted the logo.the only thig I regret is making the bow out fondant. gumpaste wouldve been better. good luck :)

Did you have to put any dowels into your cake for support?

I need to make mine for this weekend, delivery sunday night. Do you need to put boards in also or just the dowels? And how best is it to make the handles? Would you recommend gumpaste for them too?
