Hello Friends,

Desserts, such as cookie dough, freeze beautifully and can be popped straight into the oven from the freezer for a freshly baked batch of cookies. The ease of your preparation and cooking time will vary, depending on how you froze the dough.

If you have room in your freezer and plan on making the cookies soon, consider freezing cookies straight on the baking tray. For this method, spray or flour your tray as directed in your recipe to get it completely ready for the oven. Separate cookie dough into small balls and space them evenly on the tray, allowing room for spreading during baking. Cover the tray with aluminum foil to protect the dough and place it in the freezer. When you are ready to bake the cookies, preheat your oven and remove the tray from freezer to defrost the dough for about 30 minutes. If you want to put it directly in the oven without thawing the dough, increase baking time by five to 10 minutes.

Best Wishes,

Michael Ehard

This method is a tremendous waste of space in the freezer, and it ties up the baking pan.

Most of us freeze cookie dough in rolls or shaped on a clean baking pan, then store in plastic freezer bags or containers when frozen solid.

It looks like you are soliciting advertising for your website instead of giving practical advice.

I put shaped cookie on parchment freeze on tray for 20 minutes then pop into a ziplockbag and can take out as many as I want.  I also do the roll type or drop cookies on tray , freeze and bag together.

Why would you tie up your cookie sheet in freezer for long time.  It would need to defrost as well as cookies..

I put the frozen cookie dough onto parchment/pan and then directly into the oven.  I add 2 minutes to baking time, no need to sit and wait to defrost dough before baking.

I roll drop cookie dough into cylinders in plastic wrap to freeze, then I slice them to bake.

That wasn't advice.  That's an ad.
