have you ever had a cake which has a layer of cake and a layer of cheesecake stacked atop of another? It's great.
I can't figure out if they are baked seperately but it doesn't seem to be.
The only other thing i can figure is that it is not a baked cheesecake...but it tastes like one.
any ideas?
I've had where it's cake, and then a cheesecake on top. It's clearly a baked cheesecake though, no doubt about it.
I happen to live within walking distance of the top 10 bakeries in the nation for cheescakes, or something like that. The place wins all kinds of awards. Anyways, that's what they serve, and it's heavenly.
so, if it is baked, then are they somehow baked together or just put together? Does anyone know???
Thanks!
My guess for the bakery by me is that it's put together. Cheesecakes tend to bake at different temps and things, so it would be impossible to do them both at the same time without them mixing or without one getting really dry. The way they do it is cheesecake with a bottom of chocolate cake, and it's covered in ganache.
