I'm making a dummy cake to go on my market stall this weekend, I've hand painted the middle tier with big peonies but now i'm stuck! I need a border for each tier because the edges aren't neat at all. I have some lace edging stuff that i put round them but it doesn't look quite right.

I seem to have some sort of design block!

Any ideas...?

I'm going to make a big peony to sit right on top of the cake.

I think it would be lovely with a ribbon border. I would use one of the darkest colors of the peony to ground it.
