I was wanting to get a list/calendar together of some classes to teach. I need some ideas of things to teach.

Classes I have in mind are
- figure modeling
- painting and dusting
- special fondant flowers
- purse cake class

Any other ideas would be awesome!

Also, how much would you charge for classes where the students supply all the supplies for themselves. What about one on one classes??

Any help would be great! Thanks Megan

I'm just started teaching classes a month ago. I am still thinking up classes everyday but so far I have done a gelatin class," present cakes" class, circuit cake class and isomalt class. I think the classes you teach should really depend on what you know/are good at.

Also think about how you would teach a class. I want to offer a figure modeling class but I don't know how to teach that, I just know how to do.

As far as price goes I think a lot of things go into that. Are you providing supplies? Do you have to pay rent on a stop to teach? How long will the class be? How much time do you spend working on the class outside of the classroom? I charge different rates depending on the class, because of all the questions above. For example my isomalt and gelatin classes are more then my other classes because I supply the materials and equipment.

The issue I am having is advertising. I have a Facebook page and I have tired to spread the word threw that and I think it is going good for only being a month but I just feel like it could be so much better. How do you plan to advertise?

Hope I was some help!
