Hello,
Do you think I could put bubble tea straws in the bottom portion of a giant cupcake. Pull them out and then fill in the holes with filling ? Since I only put a small amount of filling between the bottom and the top of the giant cupcake I was hoping this would work and be stable enough. This way the cake to me would be tastier with a little more filling. The cake itself with be in a choc shell on a sturdy board.
Thanks
Wendy
Who gets the vertical column of filling, though? Every fourth slice? And I suspect, but don't know, that having vertical columns of filling would destabilise the whole thing. Just seems a bit odd to me.
Why don't you just torte the bottom and fill it and then a layer between the bottom and top?
I thought of that but posted a question months ago about even filling in between the bottom and top and the opinions were it will make it too tall to fit in your shell, leaving it unstable. So I was thinking of another way to get more filling into this.
I torte and fill mine , I just add a few more swirls if it is too tall for the bottom shell.
