I will be making a cake in a month with 3 square cake tiers. The bride wants he tiers to be off-set stacked and not directly in the middle. Need a little advice on where to put the supports and what's the best way to do this. Should I still make all cakes center and have a single ull support all the way down through the middle with the corners askew? I will have to travel around the D.C. beltway into Maryland. I've been told it's about an hour drive from my aunts house to the wedding site. Thanks in advance!! All advice will be greatly appreciated!!!

Support *always* goes under the area where the cakes
will be. Take a pan or cake board the size of the cake being placed on top and mark where/how the next tier will sit on it so you know where to put the supports.
Using a center dowel through all tiers is only a *very small* help to keep the tiers from sliding apart while transporting. It's not something you can totally rely on.
If possible it might be better to take each tier seperately and put the cake together once you are at the venue.

Do you have a photo?

The supports go directly under the tier that you are stacking.

You're question doesn't make sense/is contradictory...
She wants off-set, not in the middle (does this mean slightly off-set stair stepped, or something else?)
You ask if you should still "make all cakes center" (what does this mean? To do something different than what they're asking for?)

In addition, it would help to know what sizes you plan to use, and what the serving goal is.
