I am making a buttercream covered wedding cake. Lots & lots of pearls on the sides of layers. What is the best (easiest) way to accomplish this? Can I pipe royal icing pearls directly on buttercream...let dry ....paint with lustre dust? Will they dry so hard that the cake won't be able to be sliced? Any other suggestions? Really don't want to make and attach individual fondant pearls if I don't have to.....lots of pearls on this cake! Thank you!!
