If I view cake central through Internet explorer browser I get the same thing. But If I view it through Google Chrome, it's perfect.

I find that with my Mac, on Safari, the problem happens only intermittently. So I have no way of knowing what causes it. Whatever the reason, it is terribly annoying.

I have a mac, and my browser is google chrome. My son went to the settings in chrome and blocked the ads. Gone! Maybe that can be done with other browsers as well. (Or switch to Chrome).

I see an invite to Google chrome, but am afraid to click on it. I am a very timid, computer-clue-less fraidy cat who fears messing with anything I don't know anything about. If there were a way go click on something and be able to back out without affecting anything, I might be a bit more daring. My son, the computer guru in my family, is exasperated with me so I don't often venture into the realms of my ignorance. I know how to turn the key to drive the car, but have no idea what makes it run.
Sorry this has turned into a rant. I guess I am more exasperated than even my son!

milkmaid42 you are NOT alone! I am very much the same way except I have a laptop that right now is not usable because I clicked on something w/o reading it completely and now NO icons will come on screne and no way to connect to the internet.......thus I'm on a public computer icon_sad.gif

Kakeladi, I'm so sorry for your predicament! But you make me feel a little better for my caution. I usually feel like an idiot at the keyboard and I'm so glad that I haven't screwed up yet. But there are a lot of features I miss out on, I'm sure. Is there any hope for your resolving your trouble? I sure do wish you well and hope you get things fixed. I guess a few ads and some annoyance are tolerable.
Leah, I don't have Firefox. Just a Mac with Safari and I use iGoogle. I'm used to it, providing nothing changes. I fear I don't do well with change or new things. icon_redface.gifthumbsdown.gif
