I'm making Poke ball cake pops and thinking of using black fondant (extruded in clay extruder) for the rope in the center of the poke ball.

These pops are going to be refrigerated for a week, since the customer is picking thm up early.

Will the fondant be fine being in the fridge for a week? The pops will be individually wrapped. Thanks so much!

Or how about black candy clay? I think it would be faster to make than black fondant. Can I refrigerate candy clay accents?

i do believe that that looks like all chocolate and then maybe a royal icing accent. fondant accessories being refrigerated for that long can become mushy once you bring them out of the fridge.

well, if you look at the picture they did a nice job...but they're not even in piping. you have to think about how small those cake pops are and to try and get candy clay or anything that small of a line might be difficult...yes, a clay extruder might work. why not test it first to see what you like!? icon_wink.gif
