(This is not the exact tool that I have but it is similar) I own the Wilton Quilting tool love the idea behind the tool. But hate how it actually works. The little wheels on either end do not spin (they drag and tear the fondant), and they fall off every time I use it, one of these days I will loose the little wheels down the drain when I use it. And I know I hate to use it but I will reach for it anyways as it may work this time (never does). Do any of you have the same problem? and if you do how do you solve it? Or is there a better tool out there?

I have the same problem with the Wilton tool. Just as I was reading your post it dawned on me that a tracing wheel may work. Check Joanne's or Hannocks, or any other shop that sells sewing notions. I have a couple of them stashed in with my sewing stuff. I think I'll drag one out and try it on a cake!

the tracing wheel does work good. I also have the PME brand and love it

I had the same problem so I ended up getting a tracing wheel form Joannes and it works great. At times it still gets stuck a little so I'm going to look for the PME one. Good luck!!

Btw, is it just me or most (or all) of the Wilton stuff is cheaply made...maybe??
