Hi everyone,

I have a client who wants a baby shower cake based on this invitation...She wants a three tiered cake and wants flowers all over the top most tier . The rest she has left up to me... So I am thnking the topper would be booties like in the invitation...Then the top most tier with flowers...On the bottom most tier I am thinking of doing the fondant applique dress, but not completely flat, with a little bit of body and texture..so you think it would look enough? also I am not sure what to do on the middle tier...Maybe a congratulatory message? not sure...I would love to hear some ideas for this!
Thanks in advance
LL

Hi there, I would go for a square cakes and do the top tier like you mentioned. then cut the dress from fondant and lay it down on the second, to fall down to the third tier (hope it make sence). And would put flowers/blossoms here and there on the space with the wordings on written on the board. icon_smile.gif

I like Bashini's idea icon_smile.gif

And if you're wanting an additonal message idea, I am in the process of creating my daughters baby shower cake and found a cute little saying (see below) that I cut with my Cricut Cake & it looks really cute!!

Watch Her Steps,
Hold Her Hands,
Love Her Forver.

Yes, it should! Thanks for catching that. It's hot, humid, and we're loading a trailer of furniture; moving our pg daughter....was not spell checking icon_sad.gif
Now I got it right...

Yes, I can visulize this - booties on top of top tier that is covered in flowers. Will they be '3-d' or maybe do brushed embroidery ones?
Yave the dress a bit 'full bodied & dropping down to the bottom ties. That can have a short message surrounded w/more flowers maybe or small booties and dress?

I love the booties on top and think the dress should be flowing down the tiers. Maybe replicate the cute little buttons and flowers around the tiers. I'm starting my daughter in laws baby shower cake and now have to redesign it for this weekend so I can incorporate that precious saying!

It is a precious saying! As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to use it.

Best wishes for a wonderful shower!!

I have a different view. I don't really think the dress is the 'main stay' of the cake. It's a touch on the cake.

I have made a mock up that's primitive, but may give you the idea I have.
To this idea I would add fondant silver brooches holding the dress hangers and a banner across the bottom with the baby's name or a cute saying. I would probably do 4 dresses equally placed on the tier
